Fun night on the town

Yesterday Dan, Eric, and I went over to Eastgate to chill. We were at the arcade for a good 3 hours or so and Jay passed by once in a while to get in a game or two...even when he was on the clock lol. Yeah...watching him doing Maxx Unlimited, The Legend of Max, and then Paranoia Survivor Max Oni on his three turns...I just kinda like omgwtfhax. Pull a Billy Madison and just say "He's good". I came close to passing Cowgirl on heavy :P, but I haven't played it in a while and I just forget some of the steps and then got off beat with the steps and the meter went from pulsing red to blank in about 3 seconds. I mainly did it to prove dan wrong at knowing how to do gallops and I, in a way, AAed those parts with almost all perfects and a few greats hehehe.

Anywho, the best part about the trip over to Eastgate was the fact that we actually went over to Adventure Golf all thanks to Eric who happened to see the volcanoe across 32. Talk about nostalgia, going there definitely brought back a whole bunch of memories of going there on little family trips when I was younger and Katie actually liked Putt-Putt. Now Katie would probably say "Oh God, Putt-Putt? I swear if one of my friends see me there they'll think I'm totally not the coolest person ever." If I think back, I may have had 1 or 2 birthdays that would go there and do putt-putt and go-karting. Thankfully, I'm glad that place hasn't changed because there are some things in this world that just don't need to be changed...maintained on the other hand...

After tallying the scores, I had 61, Eric had 59, and Dan had 58...par was 42 lolol. Once we turned in our clubs which we used so valiantly to hit our balls out into the lake on the 18th green lmao, we went in the arcade. I played some Maximum Force and for once, a lightgun game in some old, run-downed arcade worked AND was on target. Dan and Eric were obssessed with winning the 6400 tickets on the ball lottery thing that says "Rolllll your balllll" if you don't and Dan's kept saying "ball jam" when he'd roll his lol. God hilarious.

Once we left there, we headed to da Hut to get some grub and then we parted ways while Dan came over.

Now that school's pretty much done with...

...time for some of that "spring cleaning" for my room since it needs it pretty bad. Maybe not as bad as Eric's :P, but still it's pretty bad.

Man o man...that was one hell of a Reds game I went to last night. It was even better with the fact that Ryan, Peter, Eric, Dan, Kevin, and Casey were there and oh yeah, those other people who were there too. It was cool cuz the tickets were dirt cheap and we sat in the "blue section" like Cinergy. First game I saw where they won at GABP too so the smokestacks went off like a bomb. There also some smoked-up drunk guy who was all weird, said to us "Hey guys...", and then I think he broke as he just kinda stood there...so yeah.

While there, we commonly referred to the monkey working up in the sound and video booth because of how random some of the sound fx were and not to mention the extreme overuse of the "Charge!" diddy (although there were alterations of it) and "Yeah" by Usher. Though the usage of Queen, Led Zeppelin, ACDC, and that one hey song. The videos put up on the Jumbotron were pretty cool and not to mention the Reds Race lol.

$4.25 for a Mt. Dew?!?!?!?!?!? That's crack prices!

Van Poppel pitched really well up until he gave up a few runs. Wagner blew ass and showed why he has a 7.50 ERA. Riedling rocked and showed why he has a 0.40 ERA in 20+ innings pitched. Bagpipes bombed a 3-0 pitch hurf (cheap). Graves didn't blow it and didn't even give up a run in his one inning of work...holy shitballs!!! Sean Casey is my hero. Close game. And while we were leaving the stadium, they were playing the final scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off...hilarious.

So afterwards, Ryan came back to my place so he could finally watch Kill Bill Vol. 1 for the first time even though it was rather tiresome since we practically had to run a marathon to get to and from the fucking ballpark to save $2. We went to bed about the minute the credits came on. Then when we woke up this morning we watched some episodes of Family Guy.

After Ryan left, I went and got myself a purty lil' haircut and a "graduation" suit...hip hip hooray. While at the mall I felt the urge to play some DDR and since...well...not a damn person was there I all-day access to it if I wanted :P. For those curious, I played Matsuri Japan, Tsuguru, Exotic Ethnic, Bag, Sexy Planet (oni), and Holic. All standard mmmkthxbye because I just don't have the stamina to do many of the heavy songs on there. Only heavy song I ever tried and succeeded at was Holic. Didn't do as well as I usually do because I was just dead tired before I even walked in there.

As I was typing this thing, the Red's handed Clemen's ass to him on a silver platter because they scored 6 off of him...the most he's given up ALL season. Take that!!! Juan "Manos de Oros" Castro made one of damndest plays I've ever seen...talk about lightning fast holy jebus. Now as I check the record books there is a 3-way tie for 1st place in the Central...booyah!

I am slain...

...was what I think I heard being uttered from the SEAP's mouth after leaving school today at 5:05 p.m. after my exhibition. Finally, after 9 months, the SEAP no longer has me by the balls and so I kicked it to the curb like some one-night stand deal...BITCH!!!

I'm glad I had Mr. Dave O'Toole as one of my judges because he's been good friends with my parents and knows me well. That made it more comfortable for myself. I also had the "Sheriff" and some other guy who actually knew my interviewee. Yeah, I was a little nervous, but I always get nervous beforehand. Usually during whatever I'm doing I'm fine.

Now all I've got left for school is tomorrow (Calc quiz, take home Spanish test) and Friday (some random theories project). Not to mention tomorrow has got to be the most retarded day since it's "Backwards day". Our bell lineup is 6, 5, 3, 4, 2, 1. Whatever makes them happy. And god, Mr. Murray makes me want to stab myself in the eye with his zeal for attendence. Talk about desperate because of everything he's done for getting attendence to 93%...ice cream socials, prizes at the end of every week, uber exemptions for good attendence, a competition to beat the teachers at attendence, and the list goes on.

Red's lost 8-3...

...and I actually got to see this whippin' in person. Dan out of the blue invites me to a game tonight and since I had nothing better to do I went. It was my first time at the new ballpark and it was pretty nice. The seat were much better, that's for sure. This was the same night that Randy Johnson threw a perfect game against the Atlanta Braves, which is dazzling since he's one of my favorites. Dan's dad's friend bought him a beer, which was rather strange, but hey...whadya gonna do?

Guess I should start on those notecards for that silly exhibition. Or maybe wait for the morning.

Another thing about my hero...

...is that he's a Mel Brooks-esque director who typically appears in his own movies. He was Mr. Brown in Reservoir Dogs and in Pulp Fiction was the guy who owned the house where Travolta and Jackson clean their bloodied car. Fun times.

...since I've actually posted something relevant. Maybe I'll actually post over the summer because during school I just didn't have the drive to do anything, which is why I stopped around March. Not to mention the new blog setup is bitchin' when I remember the old blog back when I first joined being a box to type in and that was pretty much the basis of a blog back in the day. Hurray for change!

Tarantino, you're my hero

For the first time in quite a while I watched Kill Bill vol.1 because I bought it on Friday, along with an assorted amoount of Kill Bill stuff i.e. zippo, flask, shot glasses, and an I.D. case (looks like a cigarette holder if you ask me). Yes, I'm a consumer whore, but o well.

I just absolutely love that man's movies: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and especially Kill Bill. I may or may not rewatch Jackie Brown because there was something about that movie that didn't really tickle my fancy, but maybe I was tired or somethin' when watching that movie. Who knows. He was also involved with the From Dusk Till Dawn movies, Iron Monkey, and wrote Natural Born Killers. I personally find the man to be brilliant at making his movies. His four with which he is responsible for are Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, and Kill Bill.

A few things that I think are important to know about him...
-He makes these movies to please himself and only himself and anyone else who may enjoy it comes to him as a bonus. In other words, he's really blunt about whatever it may be and is no holds barred.
-He gets his ideas from the things he loved when growing up from things like the old Kurasawa grindhouse films, those spaghetti western TV shows and movies, and the list just goes on and on.
-When being interviewed, QT said that he thinks that making an action movie like he did with Kill Bill is a true testament on how talented a director is and he wanted to see how well he was able to do. It's the action movies that proves your talent and I think he did a damn fine job with Kill Bill, as I have always been a fan of the Asian culture.
-He makes a point when once asked if the violence in Kill Bill is gratuitous. His only reply was because of where the origin of this movie came from (aforementioned Kurasawa flicks and westerns) and that saying the violence is gratuitous in Kill Bill is like saying there's gratuitous nudity in a porno.
-His movies are always a star-stuttered spectacle and rarely casts some no-namer fruitloop.

Crazy huh?

Funny story as to how I actually became a zealot for Tarantino and that was from random channel surfing at Eric's house and coming across Pulp Fiction and being simply wowed by it. Funny because at the same time, Kill Bill was in the preview stage, both on the TV and the theaters.

One more thing I'd like to mention as to why I love his movies...his use of swords, knives, and guns...especially guns. I'm a real fan of violence and as life-like as Tarantino gets that violence in his movies makes me love it sooooo much more. The music he has is mostly original and if it isn't, it's perfect for the scene just like he said himself "Music is one of the most important parts of a movie".
