Enter Sandman

I've been having problems trying to sleep these past few days. Mainly due from the extensive gameplay of galaxies. This will make it my third time in the past week I've stayed up through the night to the morning. Guess once I get finish grinding every profession in the game, all should be fine with my sleeping habits. I've got a funeral visitation to attend to today for my first grade teacher...probably one of best teachers I ever had. Only a day or two until my new computer gets here. I also changed the song.

Last friday I went and saw AvP with Ryan and Dan. I remember when it was first starting I realized how slow it was at the beginning to get things started. *spoiler for anyone planning to see the movie* The thermal visions the predators used were quite different compared to what someone would see in the original 2. Apparently this movie had a lot more to it than critics take it for. Saw on the forums for it at IMDB that there's an extensive collection of books and comics written about AvP long before this movie was ever considered. I was rather glad that pretty much everyone died early except for the black chick who formed some kind of weird alliance with the Predator...an enemy of my enemy is my friend. Sure the idea of it is a little off-centered, but it makes sense why he didn't slaughter her mercilessly. He witnessed her kill an alien and therefore he knows she is on his side because of all things, Predators despise Aliens...it's almost like the same way as Nazis and Jews....they hate each other with every inch of their bodies. For those of you who may not know this, but Predators kill for sport...not like the Aliens who kill anything that moves. In the first Predator movie, he doesn't kill the latino woman because she's defenseless...so where's the fun in that? In the second one, he doesn't kill the pregnant lady because he knows he'd be killing another innocent. In AvP, the Predator finds no threat in Bishop and walks past him, but Bishop shoots flames at him with some kind of gas canister thus turning him to a threat and that makes the Predator kill his ass. At the end of the movie when the last Predator was skewered by the Queen's tail, it was funny because when the last person alive knelt over by him it was almost like she was gonna start makin' out with him. Then finally at the end a half alien/half predator chestburster bursts from the dead predator's chest leaving it open to a sequel. Will there be one? With the critics response to this movie, I don't think there will be, but you never know.

I still need to see the Bourne Supremacy and Collateral before those leave theaters. Upcoming movies to see are Hero and Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Looks promising and I've heard phenomenal things about the first two movies.

Hero was actually imported by QT, it came out in Japan about a year ago. The reason I know is because my cousin's boyfriend's friend bought the DVD when he was in Japan and he was watching it when I went over to their house. I was like: "No! Must not see before coming out here!"

I do want to see Collateral and RE: Apocalypse as well.

As far as AvP is concerned, no, there won't be a sequel, unless someone is on enough crack to make a giant hybrid Alien/Predator the star monster of the movie.
