Poem in Engrish

Surprisingly, I seemed to redeem myself by bringing in such a fantastic poem. This happened yesterday BTW...just kinda forgot to post about it.
Here it is if you cared enough to read it.

O Captain! My Captain!
Walt Whitman
----------------------------------------------
O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done, The ship has weather'd every rack,
the prize we sought is won, The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring; But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red, Where on the deck my Captain lies, Fallen cold and dead.
O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells; Rise up- for you the flag is flung- for
you the bugle trills,

For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths- for you the shores
a-crowding,
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! dear father!
This arm beneath your head!
It is some dream that on the deck,
You've fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still,
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will,
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and done,
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;
Exult O shores, and ring O bells!
But I with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Picking this poem was just by luck because I was doing searches poets and decided to look for poems by Walt Whitman because he's my favorite poet. Also, if you've ever seen Dead Poet's Society, Robin William's character absolutely adored Whitman and recited many of his poems in the movie. This movie was surprisingly one the best movies I've ever seen. Robin Williams even had his students to refer to him as O Captain! My Captain!, which was pretty cool. Well, I decided to print this one out and told Ms. Favret to completely scrap the idea of using that Stone Sour song...."monologue" as Eric calls it because I felt that there would be very little that the class would be able to relate to. I could've cared less if I offended anyone with it, but I didn't feel like wasting our time. I guess picking that poem was a good idea after all. Obviously it was about Abraham Lincoln, which I had no freaking clue because Kevin just kind of pulled that one from his butt. OK, on to finishing one of my many lab reports for the chemistry's...WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
