Well since I'm up and I feel like doing something right now, I figure I should make the post concerning New Years. I was all sick and shit since Friday night and incapable of making the post.
I'm in the same boat as Eric and Ryan about New Years celebrations. I don't think I've ever "celebrated" the New Years. I've watched the ball drop, and that's about the only thing I've ever done. It isn't exactly one of my life goals to be in Times Square when the clock strikes midnight on the east coast. Sure I spent New Years Eve over at Gianna's, but that's simply because she invited me. Let me just call it an overnight that coincidently was at the same time as New Years hurf.
1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Yeah I'd have to say college...
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Just as Ryan and Eric, I see resolutions are what can have a strong influence on the weak-minded.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
Teh USA...
6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
A year of school where I'm not fucking addicted to a game like Medal of Honor or Star Wars Galaxies.
7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
September 21st (last people outta Amelia lol) December 9 (I never forgot a birthday :P)
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Surviving college, grade-wise. But as for the foot...yeesh.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Letting video games intrude upon friendship, AIM conversations (and people wondered why I was so quiet...99% of the time I was whoring it up in SWG), blibbity bloop.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Broken foot...need I say more?
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Christ...I've bought so much stuff. But I'm gonna have to go with the Star Wars Trilogy...there are those who said this day would never come.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Mine.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
IM me to find out.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Food, movies, and games.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Getting out of high school and starting college <--- What Ryan said.
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
"This Land" by Jib Jab...well since Ryan mentioned it...I can't really think of anything else.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? happier
b) thinner or fatter? thinner...all this walking and healthy living
c) richer or poorer? slightly poorer
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Spent more time with friends.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Breaking feet.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Just as I figured, with friends and family.
21. Did you fall in love in 2004?
I guess you could call it that. But to be honest, I wouldn't know the feeling if it come up and took out a big bite of my jugular. Are you experienced? I'm sure as hell not.
22. How many one-night stands?
None for me.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
Family Guy, I guess you could say.
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nobody comes to mind.
25. What was the best book you read?
Well for a guy who doesn't read at all for leisure, 2001: A Space Odyssey was very intriguing and Star Wars: A Tale of the Bounty Hunter was pretty awesome for the two short stories I read.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Oh, I guess Rammstein. I liked System of a Down a long time ago.
27. What did you want and get?
DVDs from my wish list, decent roommates *cough*
28. What did you want and not get?
Eric rooming with me, a clean bill of health, 50 bajillion dollars :P
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
The Incredibles, Collateral, Shaun of the Dead, and AvP were all great.
30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Go to Golden Corral...and open gifts. I turned 19 o_O.
31.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Ryan being better off.
32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Not trying to dress to impress anyone? I wear what I want and do what I want. Whateva! Whateva! I do what I want!
33. What kept you sane?
Movies, tv, friends, games, not blackouts...
34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
no idea to be quite honest...there's just too many to name.
35. What political issue stirred you the most?
gay marriage appeared to be this year's buzzword...or phrase...or whatever.
36. Who did you miss?
I'm not the kind of guy who's usually like "Oh man I miss you so very much" blah blah blah. Spending the night and camping so very much I guess has grown me use to not missing people while away.
37. Who was the best new person you met?
Gianna, no doubt. And quite a few other people on my floor.
38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004
Take life one step at a time. No reason to get too far ahead of things.
39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
Put down your chainsaw and listen to me
It's time for us to join in the fight
It's time to let your babies grow up to be cowboys
It's time to let the bedbugs bite
You better put all your eggs in one basket
You better count your chickens before they hatch
You better sell some wine before it's/its time
You better find yourself an itch to scratch
You better squeeze all the Charmin you can while Mr. Wimpole's not around
Stick your head in the microwave and get yourself a tan
Talk with your mouth full
Bite the hand that feeds you
Bite on more than you chew
What can you do
Dare to be stupid
Take some wooden nickles
Look for Mr. Goodbar
Get your mojo working now
I'll show you how
You can dare to be stupid
You can turn the other cheek
You can just give up the ship
You can eat a bunch of sushi and forget to leave a tip
Dare to be stupid
Come on and dare to be stupid
It's so easy to do
Dare to be stupid
We're all waiting for you
Let's go
It's time to make a mountain out of a molehill
So can I have a volunteer
There's no more time for crying over spilled milk
Now it's time for crying in your beer
Settle down, raise a family, join the PTA
Buy some sensible shoes and a Chevyrolet
And party 'till you're broke and they drive you away
It's OK, you can dare to be stupid
It's like spitting on a fish
It's like barking up a tree
It's like I said you gotta buy one if you wanna get one free
Dare to be stupid (yes)
Why don't you dare to be stupid
It's so easy to do
Dare to be stupid
We're all waiting for you
Dare to be stupid
Burn your candle at both ends
Look a gift horse in the mouth
Mashed potatoes can be your friends
You can be a coffee achiever
You can sit around the house and watch Leave It To Beaver
The future's up to you
So what you gonna do
Dare to be stupid
Dare to be stupid
What did I say
Dare to be stupid
Tell me, what did I say
Dare to be stupid
It's alright
Dare to be stupid
We can be stupid all night
Dare to be stupid
Come on, join the crowd
Dare to be stupid
Shout it out loud
Dare to be stupid
I can't hear you
Dare to be stupid
OK, I can hear you now
Dare to be stupid
Let's go, Dare to be stupid
Dare to be stupid
Dare to be stupid
Dare to be stupid
Dare to be stupid
Dare to be stupid
Dare to be stupid
Dare to be stupid
