Go Reds!
Went for a visit to the Red's Hall of Fame today with my dad and I must say, it makes me proud to be a Red. The museum was quite informative of it's history, etc. There were also some neat interactive things in there. One that had me pitch to a strikezone and my dad was the umpire at home plate and had to see if he could call a ball or strike properly. It's not as easy as you'd think it'd be. First time I've thrown from a mound in quite a while. I did feel a quite stinge in my arm, but it's all good...nothing too serious haha. Makes me wish I still played, but getting older, the teams I played on were nothing, but politics. So fuck 'em. Fuck them in their stupid asses.
There was a "Wall of Balls" (teehee) with all 4,192 balls hit by none other than Pete Rose himself. Overall, the museum was very interesting. It had all the Red's history from the formation of the team in 1869 up through the Big Red Machine in the '70s to the '90 World Series win with the likes of the "Nasty Boyz" bullpen, Chris Sabo, Eric Davis, Barry Larkin, etc. And all the way up to today's team with Griffey, Jr., Casey, Dunn, Kearns, Larkin, Freel.
I also found out that it's actually a tradition for the Red's to play their first game of the season at home...and here all this time I thought it was just merely a stroke of luck every year to be home haha. I love baseball.
While there, I ended up getting a red Dunn jersey. Rawr.
Peace
